A lot of countries, now days, not including African continent, are having problems with the decreasing birth rate. Average annual number of births during a year per 1,000 persons in the population at midyear is a birth rate. Looking at the table that represents the world birth rate in the first eleven years of 21st century, you will see that it dropped from 22 to 19.15. There are lot of reasons for that kind of behavior, the faster tempo of life, spoiled parents, more commitments, whatever.
